Updates: Artwork, Maps & Coverwork

9 May 2018

Hello Readers & Friends,

Another update post to catch you all up on what I've been up to the past week (other than sunbathing during the long bank holiday!)

I'm off on holiday for two weeks today, my tablet packed to get some sun-soaked writing and editing done. I'm really excited for the chance to be able to just sit and write with no other responsibilities, and am hoping to have a huge chunk more of the sequel done on my return.

The sequel is currently around a third of the way complete, although I'm working out a couple of potential plotholes currently.

My sketch ammendments from my character illustrator have come back and he's now working on the line art, which is really exciting, and it should be completed and coloured by the end of the week for me to share with you all. I have also comissioned a map designer to put together a map of my world for inside the book, which will be fantastic. (My dodgy painting of what I imagine it could look like is both childish and geographically impossible, so they'll be able to do some justice!)

Lastly I've begun to brief in my cover-artist, which is arguably the most important thing, as (let's be honest) who doesn't judge a book by it's cover? I have some ideas already and am really excited for him to be able to bring it all to life. I feel like it's all beginning to come together finally!

Can't wait to share it all with you.

Love, C x
